We are Joel and Tracey, and we love welcoming guests to our Victorian home. With nine individually decorated en-suite bedrooms, our award-winning breakfast made with locally sourced produce and a warm, personal approach, we aim to make every stay feel a little bit special.

We have nine individually styled en-suite rooms, from a cosy single and comfortable doubles to our luxury rooms and family accommodation with two interconnecting bedrooms and two bathrooms. We also have a super king room which can be arranged as twin beds, and a ground-floor room that can be configured in the same way. Whatever brings you to North Wales, we’ll help you find the room that suits your stay.
Breakfast is a big part of a stay at Bryn Woodlands House! Start with a selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurts before choosing from our cooked-to-order breakfast menu, including our Full breakfast and some Bryn Woodlands favourites. We use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and happily cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets — just let us know when you book.
Booking direct means you’ll always get our best available rate, more flexibility and an earlier check-in from 2pm. You’ll also be dealing directly with us, so if you have any questions or special requests, just ask.
Book directly with us and you can check in from 2pm. If you book through an online booking site, check-in is from 4pm. Our latest check-in time is 9pm for all guests. Check-out is by 10:30am.
Yes, we have free on-site parking for up to five cars, although spaces are limited and the parking area can be a little snug. We’ll always do our best to accommodate guests and help with parking when you arrive.
There is also free overnight street parking nearby from 5pm until 9am, with daytime restrictions applying. Alternatively, there are paid car parks and unrestricted street parking a little further away. If you’re unsure where to park when you arrive, just ask us and we’ll be happy to help.
Yes. Colwyn Bay railway station is around a 10-minute walk from us, and there are regular bus and train services along the North Wales coast. We often welcome guests who travel to us by public transport, as well as those who arrive by car and then leave it parked while they explore.
It’s a great way to enjoy North Wales without having to drive everywhere.
Yes. We’re happy to cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets, and we understand how important it is to feel confident about what you’re eating when you’re away from home. Please let us know about any dietary requirements when you book so we can prepare for your stay.
Very close! Colwyn Bay beach and promenade are around a 5-minute walk from Bryn Woodlands House. From there you can enjoy the seafront, join the Wales Coast Path or simply head out for a stroll without needing the car.
Yes. We’ve welcomed groups who have taken over Bryn Woodlands House exclusively for retreats and getaways, giving them their own relaxed base for a few days. Depending on your plans, we can also discuss meals and catering during your stay. If you’re organising a group getaway, retreat or special occasion, get in touch and we’ll see what we can create together.
Yes! We love seeing Bryn Woodlands House used for more than just overnight stays. We’ve hosted networking events, quiz nights, live music and meditation evenings, as well as wreath-making and candle workshops. If you’re looking for a friendly, relaxed space for a small event or workshop, get in touch and have a chat with us about what you have in mind.
Yes, dogs are welcome by prior arrangement in our ground-floor room. As we only have one dog-friendly room, please contact us directly before booking so we can check availability. There is a £20 charge per dog for the stay. Dogs aren’t permitted in our breakfast room, but we’re happy to explain the arrangements when you book.
